EXHIBITION 2025

THE COLLECTION OF JÉRÔME PROCHIANTZ A PASSIONATE PERSPECTIVE ON PHOTOGRAPHIC ART AND ITS LEGACY
Stand 103

Moderne Art Fair 2025 shines a spotlight this year on an exceptional exhibition dedicated to contemporary photography and the commitment of a visionary collector. For the first time, a selection of works from the private collection of Jérôme Prochiantz will be presented to the public within the prestigious setting of the fair.

A passionate devotee of photographic art, Jérôme Prochiantz has, in recent years, established himself as one of the most attentive and generous collectors of his generation. His recent donation to the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF) – celebrated with a noteworthy exhibition held from October 22, 2024, to January 12, 2025 – has significantly enriched the holdings of the Department of Prints and Photography. This donation, comprising 368 prints, includes major works by seminal figures such as Robert Mapplethorpe, Masahisa Fukase, Nan Goldin, among many others.

A new facet of this collection will be unveiled in the ephemeral pavilions of Moderne Art Fair: around sixty selected prints will be displayed in a scenography inspired by the original arrangement in his Paris apartment — a space of passion and intimate dialogue with the works. This presen-
tation highlights the collection’s enlightened eclecticism and its role in preserving and transmitting photographic heritage.

An Exceptional Edition of Moderne Art Fair
Moderne Art Fair 2025 will take place from October 23 to 26 in a brand-new location: Place de la Concorde, in the heart of Paris’s 8th arrondissement, within elegant and light-filled temporary pavilions. This temporary move, a break from the usual venue on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, reflects a desire for renewal in line with the fair’s ambitious programming and international scope.

Bringing together nearly 60 French and international galleries, Moderne Art Fair continues its mission: to offer a rigorous and dynamic perspective on modern art, historical design, and contemporary creation. Through this unique photographic exhibition, the fair once again affirms its commitment to building bridges between collectors, institutions, artists, and the public.
