Galerie Lacan
Galerie Lacan, founded in 1979 by Thierry Lacan, is also a publishing house. It primarily supports artists from the new figuration movement and has specialized in the aquagravure technique.
This highly distinctive printmaking method has attracted many artists thanks to its entirely manual process and the wide range of creative possibilities it offers. It allows for the creation of works with great tactile and visual subtlety, where ink, texture, and paper interact with both strength and finesse.
Each print is numbered, signed, and crafted with a commitment to artisanal excellence. From Corneille to Villeglé, from narrative figuration artists—led by Erró—to the pioneers of free figuration such as Combas and Di Rosa, the publishing house L’Estampe pays tribute with rigor and loyalty to major initiators of contemporary art.
