Members of the artistic committee
An artistic committee, working in collaboration with the management, ensures the fair maintains an excellent artistic standard. A panel of experts is also responsible for verifying the authenticity of the works on display at the fair. This verification process takes place in advance, before the opening of the Moderne Art Fair, and focuses in particular on historical works from the secondary market. Exhibitors must provide all relevant information regarding the works during this verification process (front and back photographs, provenance, certificates), thereby guaranteeing the reliability of the pieces on display at their stands. As authenticity is one of the secondary market’s primary concerns, the inspection of certificates of authenticity and catalogues raisonnés is carried out rigorously. Guaranteeing authenticity remains the top priority for the organisers of Moderne Art Fair.
