Tristan Vyskoc invites us to active observation, in order to initiate the path of a conscious, awake gaze. Looking at nature that we have so often relegated, despised, overexploited, even forgotten… The painter’s touch, aquatic, lasciviously gorges itself on these occult trees which contain the mystery of origins… Garden of Eden which does not say its name or legendary abyss of perdition? For him, it is above all his dreams and his childhood memories that resurface, on Reunion Island… Painting for Tristan Vyskoc is also an act of meditation – as evidenced by his spontaneous, liquid gesture, close to writing automatic that he continues to experience on a daily basis like a ritual in order to forget for a while the tinnitus that has been ringing in his head and ears uninterrupted for more than ten years.
